My professional experience has writing and teaching at its core. If we’re lucky enough to work together, my work with you won’t be any different.

Former writing tutor. I worked as a peer writing consultant/tutor at Texas A&M’s renowned Writing Center for three years. I was certified to tutor undergraduate and graduate students with everything from term papers and dissertations to grad school admissions essays, including many personal statements.

Former writing teacher. After graduation, I joined Teach for America (TFA) and taught writing to 7th graders for two years. I earned my teaching certificate through the State of Texas, which included taking graduate-level education courses.

Former legal writing TA. After fulfilling my two-year commitment with TFA, I pursued my J.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder. I earned an A in legal writing and, in turn, a spot as a 1L legal writing TA. I also earned a coveted spot on the school’s national moot court team, having received high scores on my brief.

Former appellate law clerk. After I graduated law school in 2014, I clerked for a justice at the Colorado Supreme Court.

Two-time bar passer. I have passed two bar exams on the first try with high, scoring around the 85th percentile on both. My highest scores on both exams came from the essay sections.

Practicing litigator. I began my legal career as a litigation associate at a top AmLaw 100 firm where I spent the first few years of my career primarily drafting complex briefs. I made partner at another AmLaw 100 firm in Texas in 2022.
